WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR WORK?

I enjoy helping young people get started on a path to financial freedom.  Seeing their progression is rewarding to me personally.  And, I love the personal relationships I develop with my clients.

WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME A FINANCIAL ADVISOR?

Originally, I went to school to be an architect.  The housing downturn in the 2008 forced me down a different path.  I had no idea I would find my passion in the financial industry.  My entry into wealth management was as a Wealth Management Assistant.  I was intimately involved with individual clients but was drawn to a cause – employee retirement benefits.  There is a real gap in the management of 401(k) and other employer-sponsored retirement plans.  The opportunity to help employees in a meaningful way motivated me to become an expert in this arena.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST SUCCESS IN THE PAST YEAR?

Marcel Pagnol said, “The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is and the future less resolved than it will be.” And, I agree.

HOW DO YOU HELP YOUR CLIENTS OVERCOME THEIR CHALLENGES?

Navigating personal finances is challenging.  Designing a retirement plan for your employees can be daunting.  Is a traditional 401(k) the best option?  Should it be a Safe Harbor plan?  How does one choose the right investment options?  Do we have enough employees to warrant a 401(k) plan?  What is a SIMPLE IRA?  What is my fiduciary obligation?  I work with business clients to design, set-up and maintain company-sponsored retirement plans.  Establishing a plan isn’t the beginning and end.  It is important to ensure compliance components are met without fail.  Educating participants on the plan options as well as providing financial wellness education is an indicator of success.

WHAT DID YOU WAKE UP EXCITED ABOUT TODAY?

I love to cook and entertain.  I am a total foodie.  I love trying new foods and recipes, and cooking for the people I love.  Looking forward to my next kitchen engagement!

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO WITH YOUR WORK IN THE YEAR TO COME?

The opportunity for growth in 2020-2021 is enormous!  I am looking forward to meeting with and providing right-sized solutions for our local, Wisconsin business owners and their employees.
